Visiting Professor from Jerusalem

Ronnie Kosloff, Professor of Theoretical Chemistry and at the Fritz Haber Research Center of Theoretical Chemistry at Hebrew University of Jerusalem/Israel, was on a research stay at the FHI in September.

Ronnie Kosloff, Sonneborn Professor of Theoretical Chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem/Israel, was a visiting professor in the department of Molecular Physics during the month of September. He received a research award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for this purpose.
Prof. Ronnie Kosloff is a world-leading expert at the interface of physical chemistry and molecular physics. He is the founding father of three quite different fields: quantum molecular dynamics, coherent control and quantum thermodynamics. Prof. Kosloff's contributions date back to the 1980's when these fields were in their infancy or non-existent. Now that experimental developments are on par with theoretical proposals, Prof. Kosloff continues to push the frontiers of our fundamental understanding.
Prof. Ronnie Kosloff was hosted by Prof. Gerard Meijer at the FHI and by Prof. Christiane Koch at the Freie Universität Berlin. He also uses the contact to the FHI for mutual student exchanges. In Jerusalem, Prof. Kosloff also works for the Fritz Haber Minerva Research Center for Molecular Dynamics in Jerusalem, a partner institute of the Max Planck Society.
