Equal Opportunities at the Fritz Haber Institute

Policy governing equal opportunities for all employees at the Max Planck Society

It is the declared aim of the Max Planck Society to account for the differences and diversity of all employees in all its decisions and to prevent discrimination. The employment of equal numbers of both sexes and their equality of opportunities as well as the compatibility of work and family life are promoted. Every employee, particularly those with supervisory and management functions, bears responsibility for this.

Equal opportunities at the FHI

The Gender Equality Officers of the Fritz Haber Institute support the institute's management in fulfilling its mandate for equal opportunities. They are involved in personnel, organisational and social measures concerning the equality of all employees, the compatibility of family and work as well as protection against sexual harassment and mobbing at the workplace. As contact persons and advisors for all employees on issues relating to equal opportunities, gender sensitivity and the compatibility of career and family, they are subject to confidentiality in this role.
