The ISC department has multiple bed-packed mass flow reactors and surface science equipment dedicated to the in depth investigation of heterogeneous thermal catalysis processes.
Many thermo catalysis experiments carried out in our department are conducted in the UHV systems described in the Surface Science system section.
Several mass flow reactors are available for the screening of catalytic activity. Online and offline catalyst product analysis is available for both gaseous and liquid products in gas phase thermal catalysis and electrochemical reactions. For obtaining product-selectivity data, analysis is done during and after the reaction.
Our laboratories are equipped with instruments capable of observing chemical reactions under ultra high vacuum (UHV), atmospheric pressure, and electrochemical conditions.
