JuHyeon Lee has successfully defended her PhD thesis titled “Quantum-State-Control of Chiral Molecules Using Microwave and Ultraviolet Radiation”. Congratulations, JuHyeon!
 

We welcome our new gruop member, Kilian Hügel. He joined the group from the TU Munich to work on his Master’s thesis in physics.

Our work titled “Near-complete chiral selection in rotational quantum states” has been published in Nature Communications. more

Shilpa has successfully defended her Master’s thesis with the topic “High-resolution UV spectroscopy of 1-phenylethanol”.

Our study on the influence of microwave pulse conditions on enantiomer-specific state transfer by JuHyeon Lee et al has been published in New Journal of Physics. more

We uploaded our study on the influence of microwave conditions on enantiomer-specific state transfer to the arxiv. more

Shilpa Yadav has joined our group as a Master student. She will be working on UV spectroscopy of chiral moelcules.

Sandra Eibenberger-Arias has been awarded a European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant totalling €1.8 million for a period of five years. more

Elahe Abdiha has joined our group as a PhD student! She finished her Master in Physics at the Free University Berlin where she theoretically investigated laser cooling diatomic molecules.

Congratulations to JuHyeon! She won the Best Poster Award at the FRIAS Junior Researcher Conference “Cold and Ultracold Chemistry”. She presented our work on quantum state control of chiral molecules. more

We report on rotationally resolved laser induced fluorescence (LIF) and vibrationally resolved resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI) spectroscopy of the chiral molecule 1-indanol. more

Spring 2020: We achieved rotational resolution in our UV laser-induced fluorescence spectra! Now we are working on understanding these spectra.

October 2019: A Milestone! We achieved chiral sensitivity in our spectrometer!

September 1^st 2019: Ju Hyeon Lee is starting as a PhD student today! Ju Hyeon finished her Master's degree at UNIST, South Korea.

Jenny Langenhan successfully defended her Master's thesis today!

July 2019: A Milestone! We recorded our first microwave spectrum!

April 2019: Johannes Bischoff is starting as a PhD student! Johannes completed his Master's degree in physics at the University of Vienna.
