Efforts of Zhejiang University in advancing clean and sustainable energy conversion

In the presentation, a brief introduction of Zhejiang University (ZJU) and State Key Laboratory of Clean Energy Utilization will be given. An overview of China’s achievements, new goals and new measures in alignment with its Nationally Determined Contributions will be presented. A significant focus will be on the efforts of the State Key Laboratory of Clean Energy Utilization in the field of energy and environment, delving into both fundamental research and practical technology applications. The thematic areas include: 1) Efficient and clean coal combustion, 2) Biomass/solid waste thermal conversion, 3) CO₂ capture, 4) Solar thermal utilization, 5) Thermo-chemical H₂ production, 6) NH₃/H₂ combustion, and 7) Green methanol/ammonia synthesis.
