Girls' Day 2025 at the Fritz Haber Institute

April 08, 2025

On April 3, 2025, the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society once again opened its doors for Girls' Day, welcoming 30 girls aged 10 to 16 to explore the fascinating world of science. Divided into six groups, the participants visited various stations hosted by our dedicated scientists and technicians.

Thanks to the tremendous support and tireless efforts of our colleagues, the girls gained exciting insights into the work at the intersection of chemistry and physics. They had the opportunity to visit laboratories, participate in experiments, and carry out their own projects, providing them with a deep understanding of scientific processes and challenges.

A special thanks goes to the professionals from the fields of physics, chemistry, technology, and electronics, whose expertise and enthusiasm inspired and encouraged the girls to pursue their own interests in STEM subjects. Their willingness to share knowledge and answer questions made the day an unforgettable experience.

Girls' Day at the Fritz Haber Institute is a shining example of the importance of inspiring young people to engage with the sciences and fostering the next generation of female scientists. We look forward to continuing to contribute to diversity and equality in science and to organizing the next event with the same enthusiasm.
