In honour of Prof. Gerhard Ertl, who received the 2007 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his scientific achievements in the field of catalysis, the Fritz-Haber-Institut der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft together with the Berlin Universities annually awards the Gerhard Ertl Lecture to an exceptional researcher.
