Ernst Ruska Symposium: Gateway to the Micro Universe
Special Symposium for the 40th Anniversary of the Nobel Prize Award to Prof. Ernst Ruska for the Invention of the Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). The transmission electron microscope is one of the most powerful analytical tools scientists have at their disposal for visualizing the structure and chemistry of both hard and soft materials. In 1986, the Nobel Prize for Physics was awarded to Prof. Ernst Ruska, a former director at the Fritz Haber Institute, for his invention of the transmission electron microscope.
